Qayer is currently in pre-backend development. Today the only data stored on your behalf is a list of saved-place IDs in your browser’s localStorage. That data never leaves your device. The sections below describe how we’ll handle data once accounts and the backend are live.

What we collect

  • Today: saved-place IDs in localStorage under the key qayer:saved-places. Clearing site data removes them.
  • After sign-in: your name and email, the saves and reviews you create, and basic usage telemetry (pages viewed, errors) so we can spot regressions.

How we use it

  • · Showing your saved places and reviews back to you across devices.
  • · Improving the app — figuring out which places need better photos, which categories are missing, which features people use.
  • · Replying to messages you send us through the contact form.

What we don’t do

  • · Sell or rent your data to anyone.
  • · Share your reviews under a different name without your permission.
  • · Track you across other websites.

Cookies and storage

We use first-party storage only — currently localStoragefor saves and your theme preference. After the backend lands we’ll add a session cookie for sign-in. We don’t use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

Your rights

You can clear saved places anytime from your profile or by clearing site data in your browser. Once accounts are live, you’ll be able to download or delete your account data from settings. Until then, there’s nothing on a server to delete.
